Kaylie Rawcliffe

Kaylie Rawcliffe began dancing at the age of 3, at the 'Corraine Collins School of Dance' in Cheltenham. Kaylie says "I trained here and attended competitions until I was 16, having completed my jazz awards, performance awards, and ISTD advanced 2 tap, Advanced 1 Modern and Advanced 1 ballet. At 17 I trained for 2 years at 'Phil Winston's theatre works in Blackpool. After completing my time at Theatreworks I attended Preston College on the 'professional dancers and teachers of dance' course. During my 4 years at Preston I gained my advanced 2 ballet, modern and national. I also completed my DDI and DDE teaching qualifications in ballet, tap, modern and national including health and safety, lifespan and development and first aid qualifications. Since leaving college, I have continued my professional development. I now hold Licentiate level teaching in National, and continue to train towards my Licentiate level in ballet, tap and modern as well as my level 6 diploma in dance education. I have had the fantastic opportunities of choreographing for world skills in London, Children in need and Move it. I also got through to the top 100, on 'So you think you can dance', but due to injury couldn't continue my journey. I am also an approved tutor at the ' north west vocational dance centre', where I train out students through their ISTD teaching qualifications. I am one of the teachers for the competition team at centre stage academy and I love watching the students improve through hard work"
